Developed in collaboration with EAVE, the workshop will focus on strategic company planning, company sustainability, potential risk evaluation and company diversification. The main goal is to define realistic short-, mid- and long-term strategies for the company and how to pick the right projects to include in one's company slates.
An intensive event for up to 8 independent producers, aimed at reinforcing their managerial and financial capacity to compete successfully in European and global markets and to run sustainable companies. The workshop will address topics such as: How to structure a company more efficiently? How to grow as a company? How to sustain a viable business?
The initiative will run from August 23 to 26 in Herceg Novi, within the context of the Montenegro Film Rendezvous, the industry event organised by the Film Centre of Montenegro. The workshop will combine EAVE’s extensive experience in international training and networking with a tailor-made approach that takes into account the specific needs of the RE-ACT participants. The sessions, consisting of a combination of group work, company case studies, and individual consultancies, will be led by experienced producer Anamaria Antoci (Tangaj Production, RO) together with company expert Jennifer Sabbah-Immagine (The Copro Agency, FR), with additional contributions from Martichka Bozhilova (Agitprop, BG) and Marija Razgutė (M-Films, LT).
The EAVE on Demand Company Strategies Workshop is organised and supported by RE-ACT, with the contribution of the Film Centre of Montenegro and Montenegro Film Rendezvous. As a result, participation is free of charge, with hotel and full board fully covered. Selected producers will only be responsible for their own travel costs to and from Herceg Novi.

First Cut Lab RE-ACT is a comprehensive consultancy and training program dedicated tofiction and documentary feature films in the editing phase.
First Cut Lab selected teams (director/producer/editor) are offered a creative framework, both protective and challenging, in which to open up and explore new artistic perspectives for their films. Participants receive expert feedback on their rough cut from three international film industry advisors, as well as tailor-made advice from a consultant editor. They are also provided with a memo report that can serve as guidance for further editing.
Consultant editors and industry advisors are selected according to the specific needs and profiles of the chosen projects. Internationally recognised editors working with the lab include Benjamin Mirguet, Cătălin Cristuțiu, Agnieszka Glińska, and Maya Maffioli, among others. An overview of First Cut Lab's regular industry advisors is available here.
The program will take place online, and each film will be workshopped within the period from 1st August 2026 to 31st January 2027. Each film is accompanied by First Cut Lab for a period of roughly 6 weeks, even though the core of the Lab takes place over two consecutive days. The exact dates of the Lab will be chosen in agreement with each selected team to best answer the needs of their films. A preferred period for the Lab should be mentioned in the application form.
NOTE: Projects potentially interested in First Cut Lab RE-ACT 2026, but that are not able to provide video material by July 10 2026 (e.g. because the principal photography of the film is not over, or because it has not taken place yet), should still fill out the application form and apply by this deadline. If eligible, they will be contacted by First Cut Lab to agree on a specific deadline to provide their video material.
All applications must include a complete application form and video material not less than 30 minutes long. Guidelines and Submissions HERE.
